NSAEC Summary
On January 1, 2019, the Butte County Office of Education received a grant from the California Department of Education to implement the North State Arts Education Consortium (NSAEC), a project to engage:
The grant project focused on providing professional development for participating teachers to build capacity to create high quality arts learning experiences for students. In addition, partnering districts and county offices of education received funding allocations for arts infrastructure, enabling schools to purchase the arts equipment and supplies, and musical instruments they needed to implement their arts programs. As partners in NSAEC, teachers, administrators, and office of education leads from Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity counties have played an important part in supporting vibrant arts education opportunities to students in our region.
Since September 30, 2019, when the grant period ended Shasta County joined NSAEC so that all nine counties in our Region are now together to continue the efforts of the original consortium.
